welcome to tranquigliano
Tranquigliano is the name of my family’s home in the Umbrian countryside. Its roots date back to the 1600s, and it has belonged to our family since the mid-1800s. This old stone farmhouse has been carefully restored with great respect for its history, preserving many original details while adding the comforts of modern living. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, on the edge of a small rural village, at the beginning of the open countryside in the valley facing Assisi.
Today, Tranquigliano opens its doors to guests who wish to slow down and enjoy the rhythm of country life, offering 2 cozy studio apartments available for rent. (CIN IT054001C202033479)
The apartments share a simple and authentic style, yet each one is unique. Each one features a fully equipped kitchen with a sitting area, a double bedroom, a bathroom with a spacious shower, and a private outdoor area. Underfloor heating and cooling ensure comfortable temperatures year-round. The property also includes a large shared garden — where guests may enjoy a simple hot tub from May to September — and private parking.
Arco for 2 people (31 square meters / 334 square feet). Kitchen with sitting area, double bedroom king-size bed, bathroom and a patio. It is located in the more private north-west area of the property.
Pietra for 2 to 4 people (36 square metres / 388 square feet). Kitchen with sitting area, double bedroom with a king-size bed, bathroom and a patio. The second bedroom, Luce (17 square meters / 183 square feet), is independent and not internally connected to the main apartment. It has a queen size bed, a bathroom. Pietra and Luce are located in the south east area of the property.
In the countryside, only 10 minutes from Assisi, Tranquigliano is centrally located for exploring the rest of Umbria. Perugia, Spello, Spoleto, Gubbio, Bevagna, Montefalco, Todi, Deruta, Orvieto are short drives from Tranquigliano. The Sibillini Mountains and Lake Trasimeno are also nearby, along with the adjacent regions of Tuscany, Lazio, and Marche. Assisi is midway between Florence and Rome, and is easy to reach by car, train or plane.
